Oman’s hotel revenues exceed OMR 120 million
The revenues of Sultanate of Oman’s hotels increased by 100.1% until the end of September 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, reaching OMR 120,167,000.
The number of hotel guests in hotels with a rating of 3-5 stars recorded an increase of 31.6 percent until the end of September 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, while the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 21.9 percent until the end of last September to reach 42.7 percent, compared to 35 percent during Same period in 2021.
The number of Gulf guests during the same period witnessed a significant growth of 780.8 percent from 13,512 at the end of September 2021, reaching 119,010 until the end of September 2022, followed by European guests whose number grew by 578.2 percent from 29,948 at the end of September 2021 to 203,103 until the end of September 2022.
The number of Omani guests, however, decreased by 16.2 percent from 631,183 inmates at the end of September 2021, to 528,745 until the end of September 2022.
The number of American guests until the end of September 2022 reached 40,149, registering an increase of 200.6 percent compared to the same period in 2021; the number of guests from the African continent reached 5,831, a growth rate of 98.4 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
The number of Asian guests also increased by 44.2 percent, from 101,351 until the end of September 2021, reaching 146,191 during the same period of 2022.
